The 8-day Kathmandu Valley Tour with Everest Mountain Flight is specially crafted to provide visitors the experience of the culturally and historically rich Kathmandu Valley with an added adventure of a 1-hour mountain flight which offers the opportunity to view the majestic Mt.Everest with many other peaks of the Himalayan range. This tour covers all the cities and villages of the Kathmandu Valley which were built during the ancient and medieval periods.
From a cultural and historical viewpoint, Kathmandu Valley is one of the most important places in Nepal which was inhabited by the indigenous,’ Newari people’ during the ancient and medieval times. Later, it was conquered by the Shah king of Gorkha in the 18th century as a part of his ambitious Nepal unification campaign. Since then, it has been home to different ethnic groups making it more diverse than before. The Kathmandu Valley is the center of art and architecture as well with many monuments, temples, stupas, chaityas, bihars mostly built during the Lichhavi and Malla dynasty which displays the perfect example of art and architecture mastery.
During the tour, you will visit all the world heritage sites of the Kathmandu Valley (Durbar Squares of Hanuman Dhoka (Kathmandu), Patan and Bhaktapur, the Buddhist stupas of Swayambhu and Boudhanath, and the Hindu temples of Pashupati and Changu Narayan). And the ancient and traditional settlements of Newari people like Khokana, Bungmati, and Kirtipur, and many other amazing places like Chobar, Nagarkot, Budhanilkantha Temple, Bajrayogini Temple, Dakshinkali Temple e.t.c. With a mountain flight to Mt. Everest, this tour is one of the best ways to dive into the ancient and medieval culture and history of Nepal. For those people passionate about exploring new cultures and a little bit of adventure, this might be the one to do. And let’s not forget the diverse and remarkable art and architecture as well.
